In efforts to obtain a holistic understanding of the inextricable link between gender equity and sustainable economic growth, The Winihin Jemide Series established the Gender Equity and Economic Development (GEED) Forum. This Forum facilitates intellectual interactions amongst institutions, development agencies, shapers of policy, global leaders and globally recognized experts. This is achieved through conferences, seminars and talks as a platform to promote and congregate ideas in support of gender equity, policy reform and economic development.
These gatherings create a safe place for women to share their stories- their struggles, strategies and victories. These stories are further articulated into documents that are used to fuel research and influence policy formation. The focus areas of the initiative are Government, Politics and Industries.
